Legalite2: Tolerância zero contra a violência

Alguns dos maiores especialistas internacionais no combate à violência no desporto marcam presença na megaconferência que hoje arranca, em Lisboa.
O evento, promovido pela Associação das Ligas Europeias (EPFL) — com a colaboração da Liga portuguesa e do Governo —atrairá a Portugal peritos de várias organizações, ligados a clubes, ligas, governos nacionais e instituições europeias, naquele que será, de longe, o maior certame do género alguma vez realizado no nosso País.
Entre várias intervenções, o nome que desperta maior interesse é o de Brian Drew, chefe da polícia de futebol do Reino Unido. Drew falará hoje às 16.45 horas, no painel «combater a violência dentro e fora do estádio».
Os trabalhos serão inaugurados por Dave Richards, presidente da EPFL e da liga inglesa, e ainda por Hermínio Loureiro e pelo secretário de Estado do Desporto, Laurentino Dias. Segue-se um painel dedicado ao tema «futebol positivo: a participação dos adeptos», com a presença do inglês Kevin Miles (coordenador internacional da Federação Inglesa de Adeptos do Futebol) e do alemão Thomas Weinman, bem como de responsáveis pela segurança de Sporting e FC Porto.
Numa ementa de luxo, haverá ainda intervenções de especialistas da polícia portuguesa e da organização do Benfica, e de Frédéric Thiriez, presidente da liga francesa.
Amanhã, último dia dos trabalhos, estarão em debate as «Políticas Públicas ao Nível Nacional e Europeu», com Vladislav Foya, director de segurança do Euro-2012 (Polónia/Ucrânia), Roberto Masucci (do Ministério do Interior italiano) e ainda com representantes do Conselho da Europa e da Comissão Europeia.
O último painel contará com o secretário-geral da FIFPRO, Theo Van Seggelen, o eurodeputado belga Ivo Belet (autor do relatório sobre o futebol profissional europeu), o espanhol Pedro Velasquez, da equipa do comissário europeu que tutela o desporto (Jan Figel) e, ainda, do director-geral da EPFL, Emanuel Medeiros.
O encerramento contará com Jêrôme Champagne, delegado do presidente da FIFA, Joseph Blatter, para os assuntos especiais.

Os jogos da primeira mão realizam-se em 20 ou 21 de Outubro e a segunda mão em 31 de Outubro. Os quatro vencedores desta eliminatória qualificam-se para a fase grupo, na qual duas das equipas cumprem dois jogos em casa e um fora e as outras duas jogam dois fora e um em casa (9, 23 e 30 de Janeiro de 2008). O futebol australiano, também chamado aussie rules, é uma modalidade desportiva largamente praticada na Austrália e divide com o râgeubi as atenções dos adeptos de desporto australianos.
Trata-se de uma modalidade de forte contacto físico com origem no século XIX, em Melbourne. As regras do jogo foram regulamentadas em 1859, porém a primeira partida foi disputada um ano antes com regras improvisadas. As suas origens derivam em parte do futebol gaélico e em parte do râguebi.

Carl Lloyd, um carpinteiro de 34 anos, explicou ao “Daily Post” as circunstâncias em que o incidente aconteceu, assinalando que quando se preparava para apanhar a bola de jogo junto a um painel publicitário para a repor em jogo, foi atingido pelos pitons da bota do número 7.
“Nem queria acreditar no que estava a acontecer e não entendo a atitude dele. Apenas queria segurar a bola para a devolver”, explicou ao diário britânico.
De acordo com o queixoso, as dores no braço direito são “insuportáveis” e obrigaram-no a “ir ao hospital”, afirmando que não deverá regressar ao trabalho “tão cedo”.
Um porta-voz das autoridades de Merseyside, condado da cidade dos Beatles, confirmou que Carl Lloyd apresentou uma queixa formal contra o atleta, advertindo que a investigação preliminar vai seguir, com recolha de depoimentos e os essenciais exames às gravações das câmaras de segurança do estádio do Everton.

Sexão: Norte-americanos preferem Internet a amigos ou sexo

Foi publicado um estudo nos EUA onde uma em cada três pessoas afirmou que prefere navegar na Internet em vez de estar com os amigos ou fazer sexo. De acordo com o mesmo estudo, apenas um quinto dos entrevistados responde conseguir passar uma semana ser aceder à Rede
O inquérito foi realizado pela agência publicitária JWT junto de mais de mil adultos norte-americanos e revelou que a maioria já não consegue passar uma semana sem ir à Internet. Quando questionados sobre quanto tempo conseguiam estar «desligados», 15 por cento responderam um dia ou menos, 21 por cento dois dias e 19 por cento afirmaram alguns dias.
À Reuters Ann Mack, responsável pelo estudo, afirmou que «as pessoas disseram-nos quão ansiosas, isoladas e entediadas se sentem quando são forçadas a ficar offline».
Outras conclusões apontaram para 28 por cento a percentagem de inquiridos que refere que está a passar menos tempo em relações pessoais por causa da Internet, o mesmo acontecendo com 20 por cento dos indivíduos que responderam que diminuíram a actividade sexual à conta da Web.
A responsável acredita que «a Internet está a arranjar espaço entre as actividades offline, como sexo, relacionamentos pessoais e entre o tempo que as pessoas passavam a ver TV e ler jornais e revistas», algo que não deve deixar os seus «parceiros muito felizes», conclui.
